Dr. Bana Ball is a board-certified pediatric dentist and the most recent addition to our team. After attending Centre College in Danville, KY on a full academic scholarship and graduating summa cum laude, she received her dental degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010 and graduated at the top of her class.
Dr. Ball completed her residency training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland and served as chief resident in her final year. As part of her academic training, she co-wrote the most recent Guidelines on Restorative Dentistry for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, based on an extensive evidence-based review of the dental literature. Her residency training comprised all aspects of pediatric dentistry, including behavior guidance, nitrous oxide anxiolysis, conscious and IV sedation, hospital dentistry, early interceptive orthodontic treatment, trauma management, and treatment of special needs patients.
Dr. Ball is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor societies. She is also involved with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Maryland State Dental Association. She is on the medical staff at Sinai Hospital, where she provides dental treatment to children under sedation.
Dr. Ball and her husband Mark, a urology resident at Johns Hopkins, enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time with their toddler.
